What data we collect — and what we don't
Website (jdiaz.fr)
This is a fully static website. It sets no cookies, uses no analytics scripts, and stores nothing in your browser. No personal data is collected or processed by the site itself.
Article thumbnail images are loaded from Medium's CDN
(cdn-images-1.medium.com).
Your IP address may be transmitted to Medium (Automattic Inc., USA) when those images load.
This is incidental to displaying public content hosted on Medium.
Mobile applications
Some apps use Firebase Analytics (Google LLC, USA) to collect anonymous usage statistics — crash reports, session counts, and feature usage. No data that directly identifies you is collected. Firebase's own privacy policy applies: firebase.google.com/support/privacy.
Legal basis for processing
Where personal data is processed (mobile app analytics only), the legal basis is our legitimate interest in understanding how apps are used in order to improve them (Article 6(1)(f) GDPR), limited to anonymous, aggregated data.
Data retention
Firebase Analytics data is retained for 14 months per Google's default retention policy, after which it is automatically deleted. The website itself retains no data.
International transfers
Firebase Analytics and Medium CDN are operated by US companies. Transfers to the United States are covered by Standard Contractual Clauses (SCCs) adopted by the European Commission.
Your rights under GDPR
Under the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) and French data protection law, you have the right to:
- Access the personal data we hold about you
- Rectify inaccurate or incomplete data
- Request erasure of your data (right to be forgotten)
- Restrict or object to processing
- Data portability
- Withdraw consent at any time where processing is based on consent
To exercise any of these rights, contact us at . You also have the right to lodge a complaint with the French supervisory authority: CNIL (Commission Nationale de l'Informatique et des Libertés).
Children's privacy
Our services are not directed at children under 16. We do not knowingly collect personal data from anyone under that age.
